Champions League Final

Spread bettors all over the world will be counting down the days to this season's Champions League final, as two of the biggest names in European football go head-to-head. Like last year, both finalists have won their respective domestic titles and Inter Milan have the chance to win an unprecedented treble. The famous Bernabeu is the setting for the final, and any spread bettors supporting Bayern Munich will be desperate for them to clinch their fifth European title. Spread buyers of the German side's win index will be pleased to know that the team have already beaten two Italian teams in reaching the final. Buyers of Inter on the outright index spread at 89.5-91pts (100pts for winner, 75pts for runner-up) will be hoping Jose Mourinho can deliver a first trophy for 45 years.
Those spread punters that enjoy a bet on Sporting Index's total goals market should take note that the previous ten finals have produced 27 goals, averaging just under three goals per match. Spread bettors delving back into previous finals will have seen that in that same period there has only been one final which ended goalless, in 2003 when Juventus played AC Milan. Supremacy spread buyers and sellers will note that four of the ten previous finals have needed penalties to settle the result.
On their route to Madrid, Inter have only averaged 1.25 goals per game - which will please any spread bettors debating whether to sell goals. Spread buyers can take heart though that Bayern in their 12 matches have scored 21 goals, at an average of 1.75 per game. Supremacy spread punters will be interested to see that Bayern kept two clean sheets against Lyon in their semi-final.
Bayern and Inter have met four times previously, with Louis van Gaal's team winning two of those meetings. Spread buyers of Inter's win index will be a little concerned that Inter have only beaten Bayern once before - a 2-0 victory in the 1988 UEFA Cup. Those four meetings have seen nine goals scored, at an average of 2.25 per game. Goal spread buyers will be hoping for a repeat of the 1989 match in Italy that saw four goals scored as Bayern ran out 3-1 winners.
Tempers flared when the sides met in October 2006 for a Champions League clash. Spread buyers of the total bookings market will be encouraged to find that Inter finished the match with nine men - as Fabio Grosso and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were sent off.
Sporting Index's total goal minutes spread often provides much debate among fans. Those buying total goal minutes for the final might like to know that the last four finals have accumulated 71, 216, 194 and a staggering 254, when Liverpool staged their famous comeback against AC Milan in 2005. The last four finals have produced ten goals and notably, just under half of those have been scored in the final quarter of the game.
