WHEN IRISH EYES ARE SMILING

Sporting Index open up special markets on Ireland’s performance in the Rugby World Cup

London, 22nd August 2007 - Ireland have probably the toughest group in this year’s World Cup with difficult ties against hosts France and Argentina, but with star man Brian O’Driscoll fit again, Irish followers could be in confident mood.

Spread betting company Sporting Index have opened up a series of Irish specials and they reckon the Boys in Green will score a total of 25 tries compared with their haul of only 20 in 2003. The spread betting experts also predict that Ireland will score 200 points (162 last time), and that the combined distances of successful kicks will reach 880 metres. No pressure for Ronan O’Gara then!
