THE JOY OF SIX
How long until Jonny Wilkinson breaks Gavin Hastings’ all-time Rugby World Cup scoring record?
London, 1st October –It will be déjà vu for England on Saturday when they face Australia – the team they beat in 2003 to become World Champions. The hero of that day, Jonny Wilkinson, is now only six points away from Gavin Hastings’ all-time Rugby World Cup scoring record of 227 points and spread betting company Sporting Index are betting on how long Wilkinson will have to wait until he breaks the record. He is forecast to score his sixth point somewhere between the 37th-40th minutes.

“England will be relying on Wilkinson if they’re to stand any chance of making it to the semis,” comments Sporting Index spokesperson Karl Suntay, “That may be too much even for him, but we can see the record being broken around the half-time mark.”
