London, 3rd July 2007 – Spread Betting Bookmakers Sporting Index are predicting that there won’t be more than 32 minutes worth of play at Wimbledon next Monday even as the rain continues to cause havoc in SW19. “We still reckon Federer will have done the job by Sunday night”, says a spokesman. The firm is also offering a bet on the number of minutes played on Tuesday and are predicting just 6 minutes.
After it emerged that Tommy Haas had withdrawn from the event and Federer is now in the Quarter Finals, Sporting Index has also decided to open a book on the number of aces the defending Champion will serve in the final. The prediction has already risen to 11 and he is still two games away.
