Sporting Index become first bookmaker to make betting available on hand-held device
London, 9th April - Sporting Index, the world’s leading sports spread betting company, have recently made their award winning mobile betting service, Bet on the Move, available to all their clients who use a Blackberry. They are the first bookmaker to provide this bespoke facility and it will allow clients, particularly those in the City where restrictions are made on websites, to bet on all of Sporting Index’s markets.
Mobile phone betting revenue has risen by 29% each year
The move follows a dramatic rise in the popularity of mobile betting and was the inevitable next step. A recent report by Global Betting and Gaming Consultants has highlighted that mobile phone betting revenue has risen by 29% each year and is now one of the fastest growing platforms for bookmakers. Jack Sangster, Sporting Index’s Bet on the Move manager, commented:
“In today’s world, people expect to manage everything through their mobile phone. The launch of Bet on the Move on Blackberry will mean more of our clients, especially those who have no or limited access to our website, will be able to bet through our award winning mobile betting service.”
