SINGING FOR ENGLAND
London, 10th October 2007 – ‘God save the queen’ will be ringing around the Stade de France and Wembley on Saturday for England’s games against France and Estonia, but how many of the 26 players who line up will sing-a-long with the crowds? Sporting Index predict that 23 players will open their pipes and belt out the anthem.
“Wayne Rooney is a famous non-singer,” comments Sporting Index spokesperson Karl Suntay, “but with team selections still unclear there could be some mystery non-singers who take to the field.”
