KERRY TO POP THE CORK!

Sporting Index have Kerry as marginal favourites for the All-Ireland Football Final

London, 12th September – This Sunday sees the climax of the Football Championship when Cork take on Kerry at Croke Park. It will be favourites Kerry’s 5th Final in 7 years and they are bidding for their 3rd win in the last 4 years. Cork haven’t won an All-Ireland football final since the famous ‘double’ of 1990 and you have to go back 8 years for their last final appearance.

The stats say that there is nothing between them on their past four meetings (the average point difference being just half a point) and spread betting firm Sporting Index think that it will be equally tight this time around with Kerry slight favourites to win by 2 points. This was the wining margin last time they met in this year’s Munster Final and the experts expect a similar game with slightly less points. They predict a total of 30 points will be amassed by both teams, 4 less than when they last met, but almost 7 points more than the average of their previous 3 meetings.

“As a Corkman, I know who I’ll be cheering for”, comments Sporting Index spokesperson Ian O’Sullivan, “Especially as most of the money so far has been for Kerry!”

How does spread betting work on GAA games?

If you think that there will be less than Sporting Index’s prediction of 30 points, you would go low and if you think there will be more you would go high. The amount you win or lose depends on the stake you place and how right or wrong you are. See www.sportingindex.ie for more details.
