Delay of the first ever race at Great Leighs predicted to be 105 seconds
London, 18th April - The long awaited opening of Great Leighs, Britain’s first new racecourse since Taunton in 1927, finally comes around on Sunday. It has been an immense struggle to get the racecourse ready and there have been countless problems and delays. Spread betting firm Sporting Index are now betting on the delay of the first race on the card (2.10pm) and the current prediction is 105 seconds.
“Everyone expected Great Leighs to be racing months ago,” comments Sporting Index spokesman Karl Suntay, “Just in case there are any further delays we are capping the market at 5mins (300 seconds).”
