CRY ME A RIVER
Floods of tears expected following Simon Cowell’s cruel comments
London, 24th August 2007 – X Factor burst back onto our screens last week and Sporting Index are expecting many more hopefuls to burst into tears during Saturday’s show, as Simon Cowell’s wicked tongue gets to work. They forecast that 68 hopefuls will be seen in tears at some stage during the show – some may be tears of joy though.
Saturday night is certainly turning into a battle of the X’s and X Factor absolutely trounced BBC 1’s Dance X last Saturday. Cowell and co claimed their biggest audience share for a first episode with a huge average of 9.5m viewers, whilst only 2.7m tuned into the dancing flop. Sporting Index predict it’s not going to get much better for the dancers and reckon X Factor will attract 8.8m whilst Dance X will only have 2.2m.
“X Factor took Dance X to the cleaners last week and although many were tuning in to see the estranged Louis reunited with his comrades, there will be nearly as many tears from the BBC producers as there will be from the unlucky X Factor contestants.” comments Sporting Index spokesman Karl Suntay.
