FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Football is understandably one of the biggest sports in the online spread betting markets, with millions of pounds staked every week on a host of online spread bets.

The Premier League has ensured that it has never been easier to bet on a live game, be that at the ground, on television or online with blanket media coverage keeping you informed on all the latest goings on.

But just because we see more football on our TV screens, it doesn’t make it any easier to predict the latest shock. We’ve seen side surprise the football betting markets with stunning league victories, with Blackburn’s 1995 Premier League triumph being the pick of the bunch in recent time, probably even eclipsing Leeds United’s surprise championship in 1992 – the last ever Football League title before the introduction of the Premier League.

After spells of dominance, foreign investment has seen the Premier League, as well as the Football League, strengthen dramatically, with more and more teams capable of challenging for the top prize. Manchester United and Chelsea may have taken the spoil’s in recent years, but with Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham all looking like challenging at the top, who will you back with your football spread bet?
