FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Football is understandably one of the biggest sports in the online spread betting markets, with millions of pounds staked every week on a host of online spread bets.

After spells of dominance, foreign investment has seen the Premier League, as well as the Football League, strengthen dramatically, with more and more teams capable of challenging for the top prize. 1992-2004

Following the breakaway of the clubs in the First Division to form the FA Premier League, the Football League no longer included the top clubs in England. Therefore, the Second Division became the First Division, the Third Division became the Second Division and the Fourth Division became Third Division.
