We've now made our mobile betting service available to everyone regardless of what phone or network you have. From iPhones, iPads and Androids to Blackberrys and Nokias, it doesn't matter what you've got, you'll be able to use Sporting Index Mobile.
What if I don’t have a smartphone?
Don't worry, just enter mobile.sportingindex.com on your phone's browser. Then for fast access select the 'Save to Bookmark' or 'Create Bookmark' option from your phone's menu. To access the Sporting Index mobile site from now, go to your browser, then Bookmarks, then select the Sporting Index link. After logging in with your web account number and password you will be asked to select a PIN number which is all you'll need from then on in order to log in subsequently.
How do I download the service?
Getting Sporting Index mobile up and running on your device is easy. Simply enter mobile.sportingindex.com into your internet browser.
How do I use the service?
The mobile interface is a simple version of our website, the navigation and bet placement paths are the same so you'll find the service straightforward and intuitive.
What if I see a message telling about 'trusted security certificates' or something similar when accessing the service?
This is normal, it's just your phone/mobile operator double checking that you want to access this service. Just select 'yes', 'continue' or the equivalent prompt in order to continue.
How much does it cost?
We don't charge you to use the service. But as you have to use your phone's internet connection, the only cost will come from your mobile network operator. This will more than likely be a standard cost, but it is certainly worth checking. Most network operators include internet browsing as a standard part of many tariffs these days. So if you plan on using the service quite a lot, you should enquire about getting unlimited internet access as part of your deal. You can then use it as long as you want!
Is the service secure?
Yes it is. The service has been designed with wireless connection security as top priority. Your personal data is our primary concern and as such we have employed the latest multiple encryption technologies to ensure that the information which passes between your phone and our servers is totally secure.
Why do I have to enter a PIN?
We know it's very time consuming to enter your full account details each time you log on. With our mobile betting service, one of the features that sets it apart from other mobile applications is that you only need to enter your Sporting Index Account Number and Password the first time you use it. After that all you'll need to log on is a 4 digit PIN, which you create yourself.
What if I forget my PIN?
There is an option to reset your PIN by selecting the link beneath the PIN log in button on the PIN entry screen. If you select this option, you'll be asked to re-enter your Sporting Index Account Number and Password and will then be asked to set up a new PIN (you can skip the PIN process if you prefer). Due to encryption, we cannot see or change your PIN and at no point will we ever ask you for it.
Can I use the service abroad?
Yes. As long as your mobile operator supports the use of internet browsing abroad you should be able to use the service. Although you may need to change a setting on your phone, which your network operator can easily help you with. Please note that charges for using the internet abroad on your phone can be very expensive so check with your operator before you use it abroad.

If you're having problems accessing the service, you may be affected by Content Blocking. UK network operators implement a policy of blocking certain types of content and services on their networks. This is done in order to prevent anyone under the age of 18 from accessing these services and means that adults are required to "opt in" in order to use certain services, which include some betting services.
How do I remove Content Blocking?
Simply put, you need to verify that you are over the age of 18 with your network operator, usually this means registering your credit card details with them. Please contact your network operator (on the contact numbers above) for more details on this.
